... where ideas become innovation

IFEN Neuroscience

IFEN Neuroscience is an innovative offshoot of the Institute for EEG Neurofeedback, which has established itself as a leader in teaching, research and development over two decades. Through its active involvement in education, it has not only trained numerous specialists, but also created a platform for pioneering research and development projects.

With a focus on applied neuroscience, IFEN Neuroscience has launched a number of impressive projects:

  • IFEN Neuroscience Pro-Z Neurofeedback Protocols: these protocols are based on live Z-score training and offer innovative approaches to EEG analysis and optimisation.
  • SCP training according to IFEN-Neuroscience: Training with slow cortical potentials (SCP), which is used both in clinical practice and in research.
  • IFEN-Neuroscience-Swingle Clinical Q: A co-operation with the Swingle Clinics in Canada to develop new standards in EEG-based diagnostics.
  • IFEN-Neuroscience ERP systems: Systems for measuring event-related potentials that objectify cognitive performance and impulse control.
  • IFEN Neuroscience neurofeedback games: Creative tools such as the ‘IFEN-Airgame’ and the ‘IFEN-Dimmer’ provide motivating training approaches by adapting visual content.
  • IFEN Neuroscience Free-Cap EEG cap: An innovative solution for paste-free, water-based EEG measurements that combines comfort and precision.
  • IFEN Neuroscience Launcher for quick and easy handling of all IFEN Neuroscience applications.

Through these and other developments, IFEN Neuroscience has established itself as an independent and versatile player in the world of neuroscience. The goal remains clear: to put scientific findings into practice, develop new technologies and at the same time ensure the highest training standards.

SCP training according to IFEN

SCP Training by IFEN Neuroscience

SCP Training (Slow Cortical Potentials) according to IFEN-Neuroscience represents an innovative and scientifically based method for optimising brain function. It is a natural, non-invasive technology that regulates the cortical excitation thresholds and thus contributes to the self-control of brain activity. Our SCP training software is specifically designed for the BrainMaster Atlantis and Discovery systems.

IFEN Neuroscience Free-Cap

IFEN-Neuroscience Free-Cap

The Free-Cap from IFEN Neuroscience is a new, gentle EEG cap that uses normal water (saline solution) as a conductive medium. This means that tedious handling of electrode pastes and laborious cleaning of the scalp are now a thing of the past.

Thomas F. Feiner, BCIA BCN, QEEG-D
Thomas F. Feiner, BCIA BCN, QEEG-DQEEG-D, BCIA BN, OT, Director of the Institute for EEG Neurofeedback, founder of IFEN Neuroscience
Thomas Feiner is the director of the Institute for EEG Neurofeedback (IFEN), which he founded in 2008. He trains professional neurofeedback practitioners worldwide and gives lectures at international conferences.

He is a member of Dr Joe Dispenza's scientific team, which examines QEEG data from meditators. He is also passionate about researching human consciousness. This is why he developed a tool called CAPITO (Cognitive and Psychophysiological Test Operations), which can be used to measure information processing in the brain.

Dr. Christoph Garner
Dr. Christoph GarnerNeurologist, senior scientist at IFEN Neuroscience, former head physician at KWA Klinik Stift Rottal
Dr Garner worked as a neurologist at the University Hospital Großhadern before becoming head physician at the KWA Klinik Stift Rottal, a position he successfully held for over 15 years. 5 Jahre erfolgreich innehatte.

Dr Garner is committed to combining conventional and alternative medicine, which is based on his enthusiasm for Indian healing traditions such as yoga and Ayurveda. From the 1990s onwards, Garner therefore initiated cooperation projects at the KWA Klinik Stift Rottal, such as the Vivekananda University (Bangalore) and the Ayushakti Centre (Mumbay). He also introduced a programme at the KWA Clinic that is specifically dedicated to children with spastic paralysis, stroke patients and patients with traumatic brain injuries. Dr Garner and the KWA Clinic have been in close contact with the Institute for EEG Neurofeedback for many years. Garner is a recognised EEG expert and is strongly committed to the use of the latest methods of applied neuroscience.
